Nephilim Halls is not a business, but a collective.
We are those who operate under one philosophy: “From the Scene, For the Scene.”
At one time, Honolulu’s goth/industrial scene was legendary. Some of us were there for its ascension into the mainstream public’s eye, and many of us have followed it to where it is today. A few influential members of the scene, like DJ Nocturna of Camera Obscura and DJ Christ of Galaxy, have continued to carry the torch and keep our music and community alive.
We seek to unify our divided scene, and have purposed our group and this site to serve as a hub of information about the scene and its happenings. It is not only a place for those of the next era to find like minds, but also to connect with those we’ve lost touch with.
“Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose… There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came to the daughters of men and they bore children to them.” -Genesis 6:1-4
The Nephilim were the biblical offspring of mortal women and angels that fell from Heaven. They were the Fallen, also the heroes of old.
Yet some feared and hated them because of their stature, and because they were different.
Sound familiar? Goths, Metalheads, Punks, Cyberpunks, Rivetheads…. We all have such negative connotations, yet those who label us don’t know us.
Nephilim Halls is a gathering place for those drawn to the darkness.
