Featured track: Wulfband – S/T

It’s hard to find info on Swedish industrial act Wulfband, but they are quite good. Most of the songs from this group, signed to the Swedish industrial/synthpop Progress Productions label, are short but extremely energetic. It’s real, classic, raw-around-the-edges old school industrial with German lyrics and all the angst you need for a night off at your favorite club. Fans of Nitzer Ebb, DAF and older Front 242 will like these guys. Check them out on iTunes , from their record label or your favorite online retailer.

New album: Clan of Xymox – “Days of Black”

Iconic Dutch goth/rock band Clan of Xymox just released a new album on March 31 on Trisol/Metropolis. This is a solid album. I purposely waited until I had listened to it in its entirety many times before posting this review. Ronny Moorings (Vox, Guitar) is an astounding and versatile song writer and musician. No one song(s) stood out as head and shoulders above the rest. I don’t mean this as a criticism but as recognition of a great accomplishment on the part of the band. Super, super awesome and no bad tracks whatsoever. Please visit the website (www.clanofxymox.com) and buy the album from Metropolis Records here.  Now, watch the official video for the album’s first actual song, “Loneliness.”

Featured album: Lay Your Ghost – “A Darker Love”

Axel Ghost provides a soothing backdrop to socialize or dance to in a club setting.
It is synthpop, but not cheesy or overdone. Listen and make up your own mind about this debut album.
